Things You'll Need:
- Standard photo software Digital photos Thin picture frames Photo printer Photo paper
-
Step 1
Choose no more than three photos. The images should be relatively simple. In other words, not group pictures or pictures in which the subject is looking at the camera. Closeups of flowers, seashells or leaves are good.
-
Step 2
Change any color photos to black and white. This can be done using any photo-editing software simply by selecting "color" and removing the color. Sepia tones are another option.
-
Step 3
Pick a single color to highlight something in the photo. Most photo-editing software has this option. You can make a flower yellow, but leave the rest of the image in black and white. You can do this in the "color" section under "options." A photo developing service also can help you with this. Select a color that complements your bathroom decor. The color shouldn't dominate the photo but rather serve as an accent.
-
Step 4
Print your photos. Generally, you should print them on 8-by-11 inch paper. If your bathroom is tiny, stick with one or two photos. Small bathrooms can support three photos.
-
Step 5
Frame the photos. Use simple, thin frames in glass or plastic with no outer rim.
-
Step 6
Hang the photos. Depending on the shape of the room, you can arrange them horizontally or vertically. Don't scatter them around the room; place them in proximity to one other. This will prevent the walls from looking "busy."
