How to Install a Samsung Printer

For years now, printers have been making our lives easier. Reports and assignments no longer need to be hand written, but can easily be printed out with a few clicks of the mouse. Of course in order to take advantage of the technology, the printer must be installed correctly; otherwise it's nothing more than an expensive paper weight. This is how to install a Samsung printer.

• Samsung Printer Computer USB cable (comes with the printer) Power cord

Installing a Samsung Printer

1. Plug the power cord into the printer.

2. Plug the other end of the USB cord into the computer.

3. Turn the printer's power to "on." The computer will say it has detected a new device.

4. Insert the installation CD into the computer.

5. Select "Next" when the software windows comes up.

6. Select the location of the driver and click "OK." The driver installation will now begin.

7. Click "OK" when the installation is complete. Your Samsung printer is now ready to use.

Tips & Warnings

• Do not worry if you don't have an installation CD. Go to the website provided in the References section and type in the printer model (the printer model will be the name and numbers on the front of the printer). The site will then provide the drivers needed to download.
