How to Use Doryx

Doryx is a brand name for the doxycycline hyclate antibiotic. The antibiotic is prescribed to treat severe acne, prevent malaria and for other infections. Doryx is not right for every person and should not be taken by women in the later stages of pregnancy.

Instructions

    • 1

Take the prescribed dose of Doryx with an 8 oz. glass of water, while sitting or standing in an upright position.

    • 2

Remain in an upright position for at least 30 minutes to minimize gastric upset.

    • 3

Drink a glass of milk or eat before taking Doryx, if stomach upset occurs.

    • 4

Wear sunscreen and protective sunwear when going outside to protect the skin due to medication-induced photosensitivity.

    • 5

Continue taking Doryx until you have finished your entire prescription.

Tips & Warnings

  • Ask your doctor before taking other medications with Doryx. Read the warning label on the Doryx prescription bottle for side-effect symptoms to watch out for. If you experience any symptoms of side effects, contact your doctor.
