How to Install an Ubuntu ISO File
Ubuntu is one of the most downloaded and used Linux distributions due to its ease of installation, ease of use and community support. It is a Debian based operating system, which means it uses the .deb packages and aptitude package manager, among other Debian features. Ubuntu can be downloaded directly from the Ubuntu website via an .iso file, or you can opt to have a cd shipped to you. Ubuntu uses the GNOME graphical desktop, but you can also opt for Kubuntu for the KDE desktop, or Xubuntu for the XFCE desktop.
