Think of the types of holidays that revolve around fall. Decide on what kind of fall theme you would like to follow on your necklace design such as falling leaves, or Thanksgiving or Halloween.

Purchase fall-related beads and charms for your necklace at a crafts supply store. Examples of fall related beads may include beads shaped like leaves or pumpkins. Also, you can purchase fall holiday-themed beads that represent Thanksgiving or Halloween.

Cut the length of wire that you will need for your necklace. Be sure that it will be long enough to fit around your neck and also have some extra wire so that you can tie a clasp to the end of the necklace. Decide if you would like it to be a short or long necklace.

Create a pattern for your necklace. Try placing charms in the middle of the bead wire, and then surrounding it with smaller and larger beads on both sides of the charm. Create the same color repetition on both sides of the necklace.

String the beads and charms on the wire in the pattern you created. Finish off your necklace by knotting a clasp on the end of your bead wire. If it is a longer necklace, you can also just knot the ends, but be sure it will be able to fit over your head. Place a couple drops of glue on the knots to keep them secured.
