How to Make a Mango Pie
Mangoes contain no fat or cholesterol and offer a ton of vitamin C and a good amount of vitamin A. Making a mango pie, either from fresh mangoes or canned, can offer you a healthy, nutritious treat, either as a snack or dessert. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Pie crust
- 8 ounces whipped topping
- Medium saucepan (3 quarts)
- Mixer
- Medium bowl
- Large spoon
- Canned recipe:
- 1 can mango pulp (30 ounces)
- 3 packs unflavored gelatin
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon water
- Fresh recipe:
- 4 fresh mangoes
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Put the gelatin and water into the saucepan.

Mix the pulp in the can or a bowl.

Add the mango pulp and sugar to the saucepan and set on medium heat. Cook until the pulp mix starts to bubble. Remove from stove and let cool.

Add the whipped topping and pour into the crust.

Refrigerate at least three to four hours to let it set.

Peel and slice the mangoes, add the cinnamon and set aside.

Beat the cream cheese and milk together until smooth. Add the whipped topping and mix well.

Add the mangoes to the cream cheese mixture, mix well and pour into the pie crust.

Refrigerate for three or four hours.

Tips & Warnings
You can always pour the mix from saucepan to bowl before you include Cool Whip. It might be easier for you to pour into pie crust.
Do not touch the pot when it is hot.
Do not let the Mango Pulp mix bubble to long or it will burn.
