A few simple steps that will help you get the job you are being interviewed for.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • resume
  • job interview
  • thank you note
  1. Step 1

The first step to getting your job is being prepared. If you are unsure of the company or position you are applying for research it. You should always know something about the job you are trying to get. Have your resume ready, make sure that it is free of errors and neatly typed and printed.

  2. Step 2

Body language says a lot when you go for an interview. Be sure to sit up strait. Do not act as if you are disinterested in the job and sure don't act like you have somewhere better to be. The employer reads your body language as well as your qualifications. Make sure your appearance is neat and clean as well. Dress as if you were ready to start the job.

  3. Step 3

Make sure not to act nervous at your interview. An employer wants someone who is confident in them selves. Make sure you maintain eye contact as much as possible. Be prepared to answer any questions that the interviewer may ask. Do not add to much detail to your answers and stick to the subject. Remember you want to act as professional as possible.

  4. Step 4

Finally, you want to be sure to thank your interviewer for taking the time to interview you. Shake hands afterwards too. Also be sure to send a thank you note expressing your gratitude for the interview.
