Things You'll Need:

  • County regulations
  • Bucket of water
  1. Step 1

Check to make sure fireworks are legal to use where you live. If fireworks are legal, find out what kinds of fireworks you can use. Just because they are legal does not mean that all of them are legal.

  2. Step 2

Buy fireworks from a local dealer this way you can be sure you are using fireworks that are legal for that area. Try not to buy fireworks online.

  3. Step 3

Have a bucket of water ready to put sparklers in after they have been used.

  4. Step 4

If you or your neighbors have wood, roofs make sure to water them down before lighting fireworks.

  5. Step 5

Make sure an adult is always watching the fireworks to keep little kids out of them.
