Sport stacking is the art / sport of stacking cups. It originated in the early 1980's in southern California. It caught the attention of Bob Fox a former elementary classroom teacher in Colorado when it aired on the Tonight Show in 1990. 5 years later, he founded Speed Stacks and took it nation wide through the school system. By the summer of 2007 Speed Stacking spread to more than 20,000 schools worldwide. Not only as extra curriculum activites, but also as a PE class! The benefits of speed stacking include, better hand eye coordination, better concentration, fitness based activities, and raised self esteem.
