Choose the software you want to use to animate your text. There are several available in a wide price range. Wild FX by Wildform is easy to use and features a range of animation effects (see Resources).

Download Wild FX and install it. Open the program and type the text you wish to animate in the text entry box.

Choose the animation effects you wish to apply to your text. You can add a range of effects, including rolls, waves, fire, water and other elements. Consider mixing text effects. You can apply the text effects from a menu on the left side. There are more than 400 to choose from.

Set line and letter spacing, delay and other display elements until your animation looks the way you want it to look. Set the loop details for your animation. You can access these settings on the right side of the interface of your software without using a menu.

Preview your animation until you have it exactly the way you want it, then go to the "File" menu and save your animation. You can save as Flash and even generate HTML code so you can include your animation on a website.
