Citrus pectin for digestive health.

Although pectin is found in most plants, citrus pectin is derived from citrus peels. Citrus pectin is synthesized into powder form and added to jellies and jams as a thickening agent. Modified citrus pectin is designed as a dietary supplement to aid digestion. It is also used to stop the growth of melanoma, which causes skin cancer, and metastatic prostate cancer, which is prostate cancer that has spread throughout the body. If you are suffering from poor digestive health, skin cancer or prostate cancer, consider using citrus pectin as a dietary supplement.
