Stamp pad ink on a carpet is an unsightly mess. The good news, according to the cleaning techs at Elegant Cleaning Services, in Nutley, NJ, is that the secret ingredient to removing the ink is in most home medicine cabinets.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Rubbing alcohol (isopropyl rubbing alcohol 70%) White terry cloth towel

    Stamp out ink stains

  1. Step 1

Dampen a small section of the terry cloth towel with the alcohol.

  2. Step 2

Blot the ink spot with the dampened towel. Apply pressure for about 10 seconds.

  3. Step 3

Check towel for ink transfer. If spot remains, repeat above steps using a clean area of the towel.

  4. Step 4

Continue until all of the stamp pad ink is absorbed by the towel.

Tips & Warnings
  • Work slowly using clean sections of the towel.
  • Do not rub with cloth, as the ink will spread around the carpet. Do not pour the alcohol directly onto the carpet, as this may damage the carpet fibers and/or make the ink spread out.
