How to Convert Open Office DOC to XML
OpenOffice is a free alternative to the Windows-based office platform Microsoft Office. Like Office, OpenOffice contains several programs that create a variety of different file types, including text documents and spreadsheets. OpenOffice files cannot be read in other software programs, but it is possible to convert the OpenOffice files into other similar file types so that they can be used in programs, like Microsoft Word and Excel. You don't even need to install OpenOffice to make the conversion.
