How to Use Diurex Pills

Diurex is an over-the-counter medication that can be used to expel excess water from the body. Marketed as being "prompt and effective," Diurex claims to alleviate bloating and swelling from excess water retainment in the body. The pills consist mostly of potassium salicylate, magnesium and calcium; the blue dye used to color the pills may turn your urine blue. Using Diurex is fairly straightforward. Keep in mind you should never take more than the manufacturer's recommended dosage.

      Swallow one pill with water after breakfast.

      Swallow one pill with water after lunch.

      Swallow one pill with water after dinner.

      Swallow one pill with water before bed.

    • 5

      Desist use after relief is obtained. If you still feel bloated from excess water after 10 consecutive days, contact a medical professional.
