How To Install Glass Shelves

1. With a damp cloth, clean the wall where you intend to install the glass shelves. Mark the wall lightly with a pencil in the precise spot you plan to hang each shelf.

2. Try to secure the bracket or track into the studs behind the wall. A stud finder will help you find them. If you are not using studs for support, make sure you use screws or bolts designed to carry the weight of the shelves and their contents.

3. Gently hold the bracket or track against the wall and use the screws or bolts to secure it in place. Use the level to be sure the bracket or track is even.

4. Slide the glass shelf into place and secure it. Check your handiwork with the level once more.

5. Wipe the glass with a soft cloth or paper towel. Arrange the items you would like to display. Take a few steps back to make sure that the objects work together as a whole and complement the rest of your decor.

Tips & Warnings

• Use numerous glass shelves in a decorative way to make artistic displays of knickknacks, collectibles, photos and other memorabilia. Spread out your displays to avoid crowding individual pieces.
