How to Enable Java Runtime
Java is a programming language used to create applications for networks and websites. It is a robust language with the capabilities of creating standalone applications as well as smaller programs for websites. Java can also hide malicious code and force your browser to act in ways you don't intend. To combat this, Internet Explorer and Firefox, the two most popular web browsers, give you the option to turn off Java. The increased security comes at a price, as you won't have full functionality of some websites. You need to enable Java to use websites with built-in Java programs.
