How to Camp at the Gorge in Washington
The Gorge Amphitheater, known as the Gorge, is a popular concert venue located in George, Washington. Past years have seen artists such as the Vans Warped Tour, Coldplay, Phish and the Dave Matthews Band play. Concertgoers or those just visiting the area have the option of staying at the nearby Wild Horse Campground, open year-round.

Pick a date for camping by perusing the Wild Horse Campground schedule. The campground provides a detailed schedule on its website (see References section), noting special events, such as concerts.

Decide on the type of camping you want to do. The Wild Horse Campground offers basic camping as well as camping for those with RVs and motor homes. All spots come with hookups for water and electricity, but the campground charges a higher fee for the larger campers.

Make a reservation through the Wild Horse Campground website. The reservation process is easy and takes only a few minutes. Pick your day of arrival, your day of departure and the type of camping you desire. Pay for your reservation using a credit card.

Read the campground rules carefully before arriving. For example, quiet time begins at midnight, and checkout time is noon. Campers can purchase items such as ice and wood at the campground, or they can bring such items themselves.

Arrive at the campground on your designated day. Check-in at the campground begins at 9 a.m.; campers can arrive later in the day, but no earlier. After arrival, you have the option of selecting a campsite based on your reservation, but you must bring a copy of your original reservation.

Tips & Warnings
Reserve a spot early if you plan to see a concert at the Gorge. Spots for concert dates can sell out months in advance.
All sales are final, and the campground doesn't offer refunds. If you reserve a campsite and then can't make it, the campground will still charge you the full price.
