Western omelets have one meat and two or three vegetables, such as ham, green & red pepper, onion. Some people like mushrooms in this omelet as well. However, you can add more if you like. The hardest part about making this omelet is cutting up the ingredients that go into the egg. It is delicious and nutritious and the perfect breakfast to start your day!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Butter
  • Vegetables
  • Meat
  • Cheese
  • Salsa (if desired)
  • Mushroom
  1. Step 1

Cut up vegetables and either ham or bacon and saute in butter until vegetables are tender.

  2. Step 2

Beat 3 eggs together and add a couple teaspoons of milk. The milk is optional, however, it makes the omelet fluffy.

  3. Step 3

Cook until the egg becomes more solid. Lift the edges of the egg and allow the liquid egg on top to run under the egg and cook into the omelet.

  4. Step 4

Flip the egg and allow it to cook completely. When ready to place on a plate add shredded cheese to half of the egg. Slide the egg and fold it onto a plate. Add cheese to the top of the egg.

  5. Step 5

Add two strips of bacon and you can eat this omelet with a side of salsa, which brings out the flavors of the western omelet. Serve with a glass of orange juice.

Tips & Warnings
  • You do not have to use 3 eggs, especially if you are on a diet. Replace any vegetables or meats in this omelet.
