How to Wash Delicate Laundry

Keeping our delicates clean and in a good condition requires special treatment. Unlike normal clothes like jeans, and regular cotton shirts, delicates like lingerie, silk and pantyhose are washed with a softer detergent to protect the fibers and retain color.

Instructions

1. 
    

   Always read the label. If label says gentle wash use a mild cleaner like Woolite. Woolite is so inexpensive these days the Dollar store carries it.

2. 
    

   Wash in cool or cold water to retain size and color.

3. 
    

   Wash by hand: Full up a tub of water ad your mild detergent and your fine washables. Let soak and rinse with cold water not hot.

4. 
    

   Washing machine can also be used on a gently cycle. To remove stubborn stains without adding bleach, add three tablespoons of peroxide and watch your delicate gleam with clean.

5. Lay flat on towel to remove excess water roll the item up in the towel. (like you are using a rolling pin) Lay your fine washables flat to dry on rack, a towel, or hang to dry.

Tips & Warnings

• Go green with Mountain Green detergent. It is all natural and safe for all types of clothes.
• Use a mesh bag for delicates that have sequins or beads to avoid them coming off.
