Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (or CFS) is a collection of a variety of symptoms without a definitely known cause.
It's chief symptom being that of exhaustion.
However some have managed to heal and improve the severity of the symptoms through lifestyle changes, and some have even been known to be rid of their symptoms entirely.
Below you will find steps for using nutrition that many have used to improve their situation with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Healthy foods
  • Nutritional supplements
  1. Step 1

Cut back on refined sugars. If possible eliminate them entirely. The body uses sugars for energy, but refined sugars have no nutritional value whatsoever, so they rapidly rush through the body rather than having a slower transit time that non-refined sugars, such as honey or that in fruit, have. Refined sugars also actually depletes the body of nutrition.

  2. Step 2

Learn what nutrients people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome are commonly low in and find out which ones you in particular may be low in. Magnesium and B vitamins are ones that people with CFS are often commonly deficient in. Adding these to your diet with supplements and/or foods that are rich in them can help someone with CFS manage their symptoms.

  3. Step 3

Eat healthier foods and avoid the junk foods. Junk foods simply just lack the amounts of nutrition that someone with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome needs. More vegetables and fruits are especially important to add. Foods with omega-3 fatty acids are important as well, these can be found in fish, flax seeds, and chia seeds.

  4. Step 4

Take a great nutritional supplement. The right nutritional supplements can really help your fatigue and other symptoms a lot. Get recommendations and try different ones until you find one that you really can feel makes a difference.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consider consulting a nutritionist in order to get advice that best suits your needs.
  • It is possible to get too much of some nutrients. Educate yourself on the supplements you take and take them with care.
  • Consult your physician to see if any nutrients or supplements you plan on taking may conflict with any medications you are on.
