How to Make an Egg in a Basket

We just love this easy to make egg in a basket recipe. My kids have a breakfast for dinner once a month and they always pick egg in a basket. You will love this breakfast treat too. It is so simple and quick to make, I'm sure it will become a breakfast hit in your household as well. Please enjoy this easy to make egg in a basket recipe.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• eggs
• butter/pam
• bread slices
• skillet
• metal cookie cutter

1. place the bread on a plate. Insert the cookie cutter into the center of the bread. Remove the center piece of bread. (feed to birds)

2. Melt butter in the skillet, place the slice of bread with cookie cutter still inserted in the skillet.

3. Turn heat to medium, add the egg to center. Once the egg starts to form remove the cookie cutter with an oven mitt. Let cook until egg is done. Note: you can sprinkle with cinnamon if so desired.

4. Remove from heat and serve.

Tips & Warnings

• You can use the mouth of a small glass if no cookie cutter is available.
