How to Cure Acne While Pregnant

Pregnancy is one of the best times a woman can enjoy, with the glowing and knowing that you are bringing a new life into the world. However, there are some issues that many women find irritating during their pregnancies, such as acne. Acne can be treated easily, without the need for pills that contain ingredients that aid in birth control, which is dangerous for your growing fetus. Following these steps once in the morning, and once again at night before bedtime will ease your acne during pregnancy.

Things You'll Need

  • 1 bottle of pure witch hazel 1 pack of cotton balls 1 jar of Nutragena overnight cream for oily skin 1 wascloth (terrycloth, soft and clean) 1tube of Yves Rocher brand cleansing cream

Instructions

    • 1

Moisten your hands with water from the sink, and squeeze a dime-sized amount of the Yves Rocher cleansing cream into the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together to make a rich lather.

    • 2

Apply to your face liberally, scrubbing with your fingertips in a circular motion, avoiding the eye and mouth areas.

    • 3

Splash warm water on your face to rinse away the cleansing cream. You may have to repeat this three or four times until all of the residue is rinsed clean.

    • 4

Soak the washcloth in scalding hot water, and then remove it carefully. Let it cool for about three minutes.

    • 5

Apply the warm, moist cloth to your face, and softly scrub with it, making upward strokes.

    • 6

Soak a cotton ball with the pure witch hazel, and gently make upward strokes with it, across the oiliest parts of your face, such as your forehead, chin and cheek areas.

    • 7

Apply the overnight acne cream to the tip of your ring-finger and gently dab the cream onto problematic areas of your skin that are prone to breakouts.

Tips & Warnings

  • After rinsing cleanser or creams from your face with warm water, rinse again with cold water to close your pores, stopping dirt from entering them.

  • Never over use witch hazel. One cotton ball twice a day is more than enough, otherwise your skin can dry and flake.
