How to Remove Windows Screensaver
Originally, the screen saver was a piece of software that was designed to protect your monitor. The first versions of computer monitors would actually "burn" display information onto the monitor permanently if the display didn't change for a long time. The screen savers automatically turned on to keep that burn from happening. Today, screen savers are there mostly for entertainment purposes. You can change your screen saver, and you can turn the screen saver off, but you cannot completely remove it from the Windows operating system.
