How to Make Blue Chesse Dressing
Make your own Blue Cheese salad dressing for a tasty change of pace from the bottled variety. This dressing so easy you may never buy bottled dressing again. Blue Cheese dressing is not only great on a salad, but makes an excellent dipping sauce for raw veggies. For another treat, try dipping hot wings into the dressing. Things You'll Need
- 8 ounces blue cheese crumbles 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/2 cup buttermilk 1 1/2 cup sour cream 2 cloves minced garlic Salt and pepper to taste

Mix about 2/3 of the blue cheese with mayo, buttermilk, sour cream and garlic in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.

Taste -- some cheese can be salty, so test the dressing before adding additional salt. Season with salt and pepper.

Add remaining blue cheese crumbles and use lowest "stir" or "pulse" setting on blender. Dressing should be chunky.

Refrigerate until ready to use.

After enjoying your meal, store leftovers in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.

Tips & Warnings
If you don't have buttermilk, try this substitute: ½ cup milk + 1 ½ teaspoons of vinegar. Stir and allow to sit for a few minutes before using in the recipe.
