How to Remove a URL Search

Web browsers allow you to surf the Internet for a vast amount of content. Any time you type a URL address on a search bar, or on the GO bar, your computer system stores these files in temporary folders, allowing you easier access to them later on. With the presence of spyware programs that track personal information, it's important to clear your URL searches every now and then. This simple process ensures that no one knows of your browsing habits as well as minimizes access to vital personal information.

Instructions

    Removing URL Search History on Internet Explorer

  1. Step 1

    Launch Internet Explorer. Click "Tools" on the top main menu.

  2. Step 2

    Click "Delete browsing history." This will bring you to the browsing history configuration window.

  3. Step 3

    Place a check on "History," "Cookies" and "Temporary Files," and click "Delete." When the deletion is complete, your URL searches and browsing history will be removed.

  4. Removing URL Search History on Mozilla Firefox

  5. Step 1

    Launch Mozilla Firefox.

  6. Step 2

    Click "Tools" on the top menu. Click "Clear Private Data."

  7. Step 3

    Place a check on "Browsing History," "Saved Form and Search History," "Cache" and "Cookies." Click "Clear Private Data Now." This will remove all URL search and browsing history.
