It is easy to find the size of your flash memory stick. Assuming that it is no longer printed on the outside of the stick, or you need to find out how much unused memory is left, it is a simple process to have your Windows PC computer tell you exactly how much memory is on your flash stick.

From Quick Guide: Introduction to Flash Memory
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Insert the memory stick into the computer. If it is a product like a Sony Memory Stick for your camera, slip it into the proper-sized drive located on the front of your computer or printer. If it is a USB stick, insert it into an empty USB slot.

  2. Step 2

Click "My Computer," which will bring up a list of drives. Select the drive for your memory stick. Right-click this drive.

  3. Step 3

Select "Properties" to open a menu for this drive. At the bottom should be a pie graph displaying how much memory is on the memory stick.
