How to Copy XBox 360 Game Save Files
The Xbox 360 console supports two main storage options. You can store games and game files on a hard drive that can range in size from 20GB to 250GB. You can also store files on a memory card; memory cards can have up to 4GB of storage room in 2010. These options make your game saves portable. You can take your hard drive or memory card with you and use it on another console, or move all your data to a new console you've purchased.

Tips & Warnings
Xbox 360 consoles equipped with a hard drive out of the box will save game files to the hard drive by default. Consoles with no hard drive have a built-in memory card where they save files. In both scenarios, the default storage device can transfer data to any other supported device you purchase.
