How to Attach Knee Savers to Catchers Equipment
Playing the position of catcher in baseball or softball is hard work, potentially dangerous and very tiring. The constant movement of crouching and getting up takes a lot out of a catcher, and his legs are often worn out at the end of a game. In order to save wear and tear on a catcher's legs, knee savers were built by sporting goods manufacturers, and they have since become staples for catchers.

1
Clean off your catcher's shin guards on a regular basis. If the catcher is going to keep his equipment functional and working for more than a season or two, the equipment has to be maintained.
-
2
Put your shin guards on your lower legs. Use the snaps on the back of the shin guards to secure them to your lower legs and your knees.

3
Attach your knee savers to your shin guards. Your knee savers should have the same snaps on them that your shin guards do. Position the foam, triangle-shaped knee savers on your calf muscles. The knee savers will provide padding and shock absorption for your legs.

4
Snap the knee savers into place with the straps that are provided. They will snap onto your shin guards, and there also are additional straps that will keep the knees savers from slipping off your lower leg.
