How to Bleach Hair During Pregnancy
Pregnancy can be a wonderful season in a woman's life as she awaits the coming of a baby. Along with the pregnancy comes some changes a woman must make to help her baby be healthy. You may be more susceptible to nausea or sensitive to chemicals that previously didn't affect you. If you want to bleach your hair when you are expecting, you may need to change your approach.

1
Talk to your doctor before using any type of chemicals on your hair. She will more than likely give you the go ahead, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
-
2
Call your salon and find out when someone is scheduled to have her hair dyed, to be sure you can handle the smell of the chemicals. Many women experience nausea, especially during their first trimester of pregnancy and even into their second trimester. The last thing you want is to be running for a bathroom in the middle of your hair session. Bring a face mask, to see if it helps you tolerate the odor.

Schedule an appointment with your stylist, once you know you can handle the smell of the chemicals. Have the stylist do a color test on your hair before your appointment. With all the added hormones in your body, your hair may have changed. It may be more brittle or more susceptible to color. By having the stylist test a strand of your hair, she will know exactly how long the chemicals need to be on your hair. This will keep you from being exposed to chemicals longer than necessary.

On the day of your appointment, remind your stylist that you are pregnant and that you would like her to work as quickly as possible.
