Do your best to remove the sunscreen stain using a paper towel and warm water. It is important to make sure that you do not rub the sunscreen into the clothing. Instead, you will want to blot the sunscreen. This should get majority of the sunscreen off the white clothing.

Use a stain removal stick that is offered by one of the laundry detergent brands. All that you will do is release some of the pre-detergent onto the stain. This will work best on small stains, but you may be able to see noticeable results with big stains as well. Often, you will be able to wash the clothes the way that you normally would after using a pre-wash stain remover.

Soak the stained clothing in water and a tablespoon of hair conditioner. Allow it to soak for fifteen to thirty minutes. After you have finished soaking the clothing, put it in the washer the same way that you normally would. The stain should be gone or reduced enough so that you cannot see it.

Use bleach to spot out the stain on the clothing. Keep in mind that bleach will not necessarily get rid of the stains. It will lessen them enough to ensure that they are not noticeable on the clothing. This is probably the most effective way to remove any stains from white clothing.

Do not put the clothing into the dryer if the stain has not been removed. Heat can cause stains to become permanent, or it may make them harder to get out. Allow the clothing to air dry, and if the stain has not yet been removed, then repeat washing.

There is a tub and tile cleaner called "the WOrks" that will take out the orange stains that show up on clothes after you wash them in well water. Avobenzone is one of the ingredients that causes these stains, but it is hard to find sunscreen w/o it, and some w/o it still stain, although not as much.
