Open your kit to find the DSL filters. These are small, square filters with a phone cord and Cat 5 plug outlet with a 2-inch phone cord on the other end. Plug a filter into every phone jack that has something plugged into it. Plug the phone cord into the plug with the picture of a phone. Plug the 2-inch phone plug into the wall phone jack. Plug one into the phone line you will use to hook up the modem as well.
