Exercising is one of the main ways to get and maintain a great body. However, proper nutrition and diet are equally important. There are plenty of weight-loss plans out there, such as Atkins or South Beach, but losing weight fast doesn't require following a rigid diet. Eating the right foods can help you burn fat and achieve the weight loss you want.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Consume plenty of bananas. Aside from their high potassium content, bananas contain natural fat-burning compounds that enhance metabolism while balancing the body's water content. Eat at least four bananas every day.

  2. Step 2

Eat lots of ginger. This herb contains [6]-gingerol, a substance that raises body heat and increases metabolism. Add a slice of ginger to your favorite dishes, or try ginger in tea for the same effect.

  3. Step 3

Eat tofu. Tofu is made of soybeans, which contain lecithin. This fatty substance prevents the body from absorbing fat on a cellular level. Eat tofu dishes at least twice a week.

  4. Step 4

Use cayenne pepper. This popular chili pepper contains an active compound called capsaicin, which raises the body's metabolism and temperature in order to burn fat. Add a dash of cayenne pepper to most of your dishes every day.

  5. Step 5

Eat cinnamon. This popular spice contains hydroxychalcone, which can lower blood-sugar levels by speeding up the metabolism of glucose. Add cinnamon to apples or warm soy milk daily.
