Latin dancing, such as salsa, merengue, and tango among others, are popular styles of ballroom dance that originated in Latin American countries. But you don't have to live in a Latin American country to learn Latin dance. Latin dancing can be learned pretty much anywhere, including in your own home. In a few hours, you can have the foundations of Latin dance --- the two-step rhythm and the hip-swinging movement --- down and be ready to impress your friends.

3. Look for Latin dance nights. Many clubs will offer Latin dance nights where you can learn to dance from a pro. If your town doesn't have Latin dance nights, check around your local Latin American community. You may find many caring and willing teachers there.
