Eye Floaters Treatment

You can have clearer vision using a natural eye floaters treatment. An eye floater can appear as a squiggly line, or black dot that will move around as you move your eyes. Aging causes eye floaters. As a person gets older, a substance known as vitreous that is normally found in the eyes and is similar to jelly in texture, starts to become more like a liquid. This causes the fibers within the vitreous to stick together. They then float continuously around in the vitreous cavity. This causes a shadowing effect on the retina, which a person will see as floaters. Diabetic retinopathy also causes eye floaters. Eye trauma, complications from cataract surgery, and nearsightedness are also risk factors.

Instructions

    • 1

Lightly press your palms against your eyes. Before you do this, warm your hands by rubbing them together. Then keep them against your eyes for about 10 seconds. Do this about 5 times to gradually eliminate floaters in the eye.

    • 2

Exercise your eyes. Look up at the ceiling with your head facing straight ahead and roll your eyes around in a circular motion clockwise and then move them around counter clockwise. Do this ten times in each direction.

    • 3

Practice focusing your eyes. This eye floater treatment involves holding an object such as a straw in your hand with your arm completely extended in front of you. Focus on the straw and then gradually move the straw towards you until it is about 6 inches away from your face while you continue to focus on it. Do this 10 times.

Give your temples a massage. To do this eye floater treatment, put your thumb knuckles on your temples and begin massaging. Do this 20 times in each direction. Do the same thing on your forehead between the eyebrows and on each side on the bridge of your nose. All of these exercises, if done daily, will reduce floaters in the eye in about four weeks.
