    Lowering your cholesterol can be the most important thing you can do in order to prevent heart attacks and strokes. You can lower your cholesterol at home by eating certain foods. Eat healthy for a long life.

  2. Step 2

    Eat Oatmeal at least every other day. Spruce it up by adding some fresh fruit such as blueberries and peach. This will help to lower your cholesterol the natural way. Eat whole grains such as whole wheat bread. Skip the white bread there is not much nutrition in white bread.

  3. Step 3

    Limit the use of foods high in saturated fats, Add more fruits and vegetables to your diet will help to keep your overall cholesterol down.

  4. Step 4

    If you eat meat, limit the types of meats with high fat. Try eating more lean meats and smaller portions of meat. Your meat portion should be the smallest amount of food on your plate.
