Make a Beaded Daisy Necklace or Bracelet

This delicate beaded daisy necklace makes a perfect handmade gift for a daughter, niece, or friend--it's relatively simple and inexpensive and can be completed in a little over an hour.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Three colors of seed beads
  • Monofilament beading wire, or fishing line.
  • Toggle clasp
  1. Step 1

Tie a knot around a bead of color #3 to act as a stop bead, if desired. Thread four beads of color #1 onto wire.

  2. Step 2

Thread one bead of color #2 onto wire.

  3. Step 3

Loop cord over and thread through first bead of color #1 again. Thread two more beads of color #1 onto wire.

  4. Step 4

Thread wire through fourth bead of color #1 (of the four that you originally threaded onto the wire).

  5. Step 5

Pull the wire tight--the beads should form a daisy with the bead of color #2 in the center. Thread two beads of color #3 on the wire to be the "stem" of the daisy. Continue this pattern until it is the length you desire. Tie on the clasps at either end.

Tips & Warnings
  • You may want to use a small beading needle to help thread the beads onto the wire more easily.
  • Continue pulling the wire tight after each bead (though not too tight) to prevent spaces between beads and between daisies.
