Have a Frugal but Fun Date Night in Summer
Have a Frugal but Fun Date Night in Summer

How to have have a romantic and fun date night without breaking the bank.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • nearest body of water
  • sunset times
  • weather report
  • your honey
  • mode of transportation
  1. Step 1

First, pick a night where you know you and your honey will have some free time. Sometimes a great time to go is during the week when local spots will be less crowded and going during this time is a great way to reduce the workday stress load.

  2. Step 2

Next, find out where there is an accessible body of water nearby with a beach. This could be anywhere from a lake, a beach, pond, or river.

  3. Step 3

Third, figure out what time sunset is and plan on being there an hour before. This way you’ll have time to bond and explore the area a little bit. Going at this time usually means the temperatures will be a bit cooler.

  4. Step 4

Head to the water and walk on the sand or a nearby trail, holding hands and talking. Discuss hopes and dreams. This will help to get into a really romantic state of mind.

  5. Step 5

Finally, pick a good western facing spot to watch a spectacular sunset. About this time, all the worries of the day tend to drift away.

Tips & Warnings
  • Pick a spot that you can return to time and again with your honey when a getaway is needed.
  • When on the trails near a lake, be wary of alligators and snakes.
