Growing a cutting garden does have its benefits, as one is able to arrange cut flowers daily for their home or share the bouquets with friends and family. A colorful arrangement will add warmth to your home and brighten a dark corner or room. Here are some tips on how to arrange fresh cut flowers.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Garden scissor
  • Vase
  • Water
  • Cut flowers
  1. Step 1
    Yellow is primary color
     
    Yellow is primary color

    Select a primary color as well as a color scheme for the floral arrangement. Cut long stem flowers. You can always adjust stem length according to your vase.

  2. Step 2
    Asiatic lilly is feature flower
     
    Asiatic lilly is feature flower

    Add feature flowers, these flowers should stand out when placed in your arrangement. Feature flowers such as Asiatic lilies, roses, dahlias, coneflowers, and Gerber daisies. The most vibrant color would go in the center, directly in front of the primary flower.

  3. Step 3

    Arrange the remaining flowers in the vase. Balance the color of the flowers so that the floral arrangement is eye appealing.

  4. Step 4
     

    Accent your arrangement with greenery such as honeysuckle, ivy, or ornamental grass.

Tips & Warnings
  • Be creative with your cut flower arrangement
  • For a fresh scent add peppermint to your cut flower arrangement.
