How to Cut Hair

Things You'll Need:

• Clippers
• Edger

1. Start by cutting the hair from the center of the persons head downwards towards the neck. Use this method to cut the hair from the whole head. After your done go over and cut any access hair from the persons head for a clean look. Brush the already cut hair from the head.

2. Next use the edging clippers to go over the persons hair line. Make sure the hair line is even and accurate. Go around the whole head cutting access hair and edging behind the ears as well as the back of the neck. Make the corners of the hair line look sharp for better service.

3. When finished use alcohol to sanitize the hair line. Make sure you and the customer are satisfied with the look of the cut. Go over the hair line again making sure all access hair is removed. Cut any access hair off the side of the persons face and the back of their neck.

Tips & Warnings

• A relaxed barber makes a good barber
• Don't be afraid to cut and make sure everything looks good
• Don't apply too much pressure while cutting and edging so the clippers don't cut to low and so the edger's don't cut the person.
