Difficulty: Easy

Things You'll Need:

  • Dried or fresh herbs
  • water
  • something to heat water
  • tea ball or strainer
  • non metal container for tea.
  1. Step 1

Heat cool water to a boil or as hot as you like it. Just make it hot enough to get the most out of your herbs.

  2. Step 2

You will need 2 tbs of fresh or died herb for every cup of water you use.
Put these herbs in your cup (in your tea ball or not, you can strain the herbs when finished)

  3. Step 3

When the water is hot, pour the water over the tea.

  4. Step 4

Let the herbs steep for 5-10 minutes, depending on your tastes.

  5. Step 5

Strain the herbs out or take out the tea ball.

  6. Step 6

If you like sweet tea add the sweetener of your choice.

  7. Step 7

You can drink your tea iced or hot.

Tips & Warnings
  • Making your own tea is really fun, you can experiment mixing different herbs together to get the taste you want.
  • If you are making tea for more than one person, remember to look again at step 2 and measure you herbs and water accordingly.
  • The same measures are used for herbal medicinal teas.
  • Be sure to use a non metal cup as some herbs do not react well to metal and you might not get the effect or taste from the tea you want.
