Make A Fourth Of July Shooter
Make A Fourth Of July Shooter

Present your adult guests this red, white and blue shooter at your next patriotic themed party!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Shot Glasses
  • Spoon or large eyedropper
  • Grenadin
  • Vodka
  • Peach Schnapps
  • Blue Curacao
  • Patience
  1. Step 1

Chill shot glasses in the freezer before preparing. A very cold shot glass makes the "floating" process a bit easier to do.

  2. Step 2

For easy distribution, arrange chilled shot glasses on the tray that you will be serving them from.

  3. Step 3

In each shot glass, pour 1/2 oz of Grenadine.

  4. Step 4

Float 1/2 oz of vodka (any flavor will do) or 1/2 oz of peach schnapps on top of the Grenadine. To "float," meaning the vodka or schnapps won't mix with the bottom layer, you need to use either a large eyedropper, or syringe, or a teaspoon. With an eyedropper or syringe, simply dispense the liquid SLOWLY over bottom layer. With a teaspoon, SLOWLY pour the liquid over the back of the spoon.

  5. Step 5

Float 1/2 oz of Blue Curacao over the middle layer. Again, when "floating," you need to use either a large eyedropper or syringe, or a teaspoon. With an eyedropper or syringe simply dispense the liquid SLOWLY over middle layer. With a teaspoon, SLOWLY pour the liquid over the back of the spoon.

  6. Step 6

When all shooters are ready, carefully and slowly lift tray and serve. Or, simply make and serve them from the bar.

Tips & Warnings
  • Experiment with the floating technique before preparing for a party. You'll get the hang of it quickly.
  • Part of this drink and the fun is to watch the making of it so show off!
  • Using Peach Schnapps will create a fruity taste to this shooter.
  • Using flavored vodka will change the variety and taste....just be certain the vodka is clear in color.
  • Drink responsibly.
