How to Remove Vista Service Pack 1
Microsoft releases regular updates for their operating systems and programs in the form of service packs. The Windows Vista Service Pack 1 was released in April 2008 to fix performance issues and reliability. The service pack, however, caused some compatibility issues with other programs, and uninstalling Vista Service Pack 1 is a troubleshooting step when other programs stop working.

Remove Vista Service Pack 1 Using Control Panel

Click "Start," and select "Control Panel."

Choose "Uninstall a Program" under the Programs option.

Click "View Installed Updates" under the Tasks menu on the left of the window.

Scroll down the list of installed updates until you find Microsoft Windows in blue font.

Find the update named "Service Pack for Microsoft Windows (KB936330)," click it, and choose "Uninstall."

Choose "Yes" when asked if you are sure you want to uninstall this update.

Restart your computer.
Remove Vista Service Pack 1 Using System Restore

Restart your computer to ensure Vista Service Pack 1 completed installation.

Click "Start," and choose "All Programs."

Open the Accessories folder, click "System Tools," and then System Restore.

Select "Choose a Different Restore Point," and click "Next."

Scroll down the list of restore points, and choose "Install: Windows Vista Service Pack 1."
