Mexico is known for having rich veins of gold buried in its soil. That's why so many ancient relics were made from the precious metal. Today, many prospectors go to Mexico to find gold. They use high-tech equipment such as radar imaging, seismographs and digging machines to find their treasure.
Things You'll Need
- Exploration company
- Drilling equipment
Scout the many available parcels of land for sale in Mexico through a commercial agent. They will have the contacts needed and resources in place to make the right connections. Many parcels already have a mining history, and with some effort you will be able to find out who mined there, how deep they drilled and whether they found gold or other minerals.
Find funding through a venture capital company or individual investor to send geologists to several of the land parcels to determine whether the land has a good chance of producing a working mine.
If the land appears to have the possibility of producing gold or another valuable mineral, purchase the land from your agent in Mexico. They will be able to guide you through the process.
Secure the permits from the Mexican government to begin drilling. In some cases, setting up a corporation in Mexico will make this much easier.
Find additional funding through venture capitalist investors to transport your drilling materials to Mexico and begin drilling for gold. The process could take several months to many years to produce gold.
