How to Get Cool Fonts

There are a wide range of fonts available today. These fonts go far beyond the generic Times New Roman and San Serif fonts included with most word processor programs. Now you can find fonts ranging from Typewriter font all the way to Klingon.

• Decompression software such as WinZip, WinRAR, or ALZip

Instructions

Downloading the Fonts

1. Go to a website such as fontsy.com (link included below) and browse for the fonts you wish to download.

2. Create a folder on your desktop so you can save all of the fonts you download to a single location.

3. Download all the fonts you want into your new folder.

4. If the files are compressed, extract them using your decompression software. Extract them to the same folder the compressed files are stored in.

Installing the fonts

1. Left-click the Start button and select "Control Panel."

2. Select the "Fonts" icon to open the font folder.

3. Left-click the "File" button on the titlebar and select "Install New Font."

4. Select the folder you stored the fonts into from the menu.

5. Select the fonts you wish to load and click "OK." Your new cool fonts are now installed and ready to use.
