How to Enable a Java Plugin

Java is a programming language and independent software program that, when plugged into a browser, helps the browser to interpret and display web applications properly. If Java is disabled, you may find that certain web pages are not being displaying correctly or fully, and you don't have access to certain interactive features on the Internet. To fix this, you can enable Java in web browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox.

Instructions

  1. Internet Explorer

    • 1

Launch Internet Explorer and select the "Tools" menu.

    • 2

Select the "Manage Add-ons" option from the menu.

    • 3

Click on the "Toolbars and Extensions" button in the left-side of the window. This will list all currently installed toolbars and extensions in the main pane.

    • 4

Browse the main pane until you find the Java plug-in. Select it.

    • 5

Click the "Enable" option underneath the main pane.

Open Firefox and click on the "Tools" menu at the top of the browser.
