How to Do an FTP Transfer
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a protocol to transfer files over the Internet. In many cases, FTP is used to transfer files to servers when creating Web pages. Usually when you are downloading files to a site or from a site, you are using FTP. This can apply to YouTube, Internet games, MySpace photos and just about everything else that requires a file transfer. You will not be able to upload files to a site without the correct permissions.
