How to Take Motilium

Motilium, also known as "Motilium 10," is a treatment given to alleviate symptoms of overindulging in food. Such instances can cause feelings of nausea, vomiting, upset stomach, being overly full and gas leading to burping. When you take Motilium, it stops your brain from sending signals of nausea so that you will feel better. Learn to take Motilium properly.

Instructions

    • 1

      Take 1 tablet with water, 15 to 30 minutes before eating a meal. Your doctor might tell you to take 2 tablets at a time after you have been on a Motilium course for 2 weeks. Follow the doctor's instructions.

      Wait 2 hours before and after taking Motilium to take stomach antacid tablets. These reduce the acidity of your stomach, but some stomach acid is needed to help Motilium break down and be absorbed properly.

    • 3

      Repeat the dosing cycle as often as 3 to 4 times per day. You should take Motilium only as long as your doctor prescribes. Most people will take it for up to 6 months.

  • Do not take more than 8 tablets per day. Always follow your doctor's instructions for dosage.
