Making your own wedding candle centerpieces is a way of sticking to the budget without sacrificing the beauty of the occasion. A great thing about this craft is that it can be done way ahead of time, so it's one more thing you can check off your wedding to-do list.

Instructions

    • 1

Spray paint all the terra cotta flower pots, white or off white, as preferred. After they are dry, use a dry paint brush and acrylic paint to streak on silver, gold or other wedding color. Spray the outside of the wedding candle pot with a sealer glaze.

    • 2

Use a length of tulle and satin ribbon to tie a bow around the pot, just under the rim of the wedding candle container. Use a dab of glue under the bow and in the back to keep it in place.

    • 3

Glue a tall pillar candle to the inside bottom of the wedding candle pot with a glue gun (heavy duty if possible). If you are using larger pots use three candles of different heights placed in the center.

    • 4

Fill the pot with floral marbles to within an inch or so from the top. You will find these at craft or floral supply stores. They come in beautiful colors, including iridescent and clear. Your wedding candles are completed.

Tips & Warnings

  • Flowers or flower petals can be arranged on the tables or around the wedding candles. Sealer glaze comes in matt and glossy finish. Use whichever is your preference.
