Photoshop can be used to create any number of cool special effects, from rain and snow to laser beams and fake hair. Artist across the world use Photoshop's various tools whenever they need something a little special for their ads, brochures or other media formats. One thing that is quite easy and quick to make in Photoshop is sparks.

      Open a Photoshop. Then go to file, and click "New." Adjust the size settings. Go to the Toolbar and select the "Fill" tool. Fill the canvas with black.

      Go back to the Toolbar, and select the "Brush" tool. Change the brush tip to one that fades slightly, and make the size about 12. Go to Windows and open the "Brushes" panel. In the "Shape Dynamics" tab, make the control setting "Fade," and the "Minimum Diameter" 30. Change the foreground color to bright yellow.

      Go to the Toolbar, and select the "Pen" tool. Go to the center point where you want the sparks to come from, and click. Click again twice, forming a slightly curving line away from the center. Go to the "Paths" tab, right click on the "Path," and select "Stroke Path."

      Keep repeating Step 3 until you have as many lines of "sparks" as you want. Then right-click on the Path, and select "Delete."

      Go to "Filters," then "Render," and select "Lens Flare." Choose the 50-300 lens, and make the brightness 70. Place the flare directly over the center of the sparks, and click "OK."
