A drawing of a Valentine's teddy bear can be used to create your own adorable Valentine craft cards. You can scan in the illustration and create your own Valentine's emails. Regardless of what you choose to use the illustration for, whoever receives the drawing will greatly enjoy the cuddly image of a cute teddy bear grasping an Valentine's heart to its chest. People who receive this illustration will also enjoy the handmade feel of the drawing and appreciate your artwork.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Black ink pen
  • Kneaded eraser
  • Art markers
  1. Step 1
     

    Draw the teddy bear's basic frame with simple shapes. Create the head with a circle. Add the belly of the teddy bear with a large oval under the head. Add the arms with two curved lines attached just below the base of the head. Create the leg frame with a two slightly curved "L" shapes coming out of the bottom of the belly. Draw a "t" shape across the head of the teddy bear.

  2. Step 2
     

    Draw the ears with a curved "C" shape on the upper left and right corner of the head of the teddy bear. Add eyes with two small dots on the horizontal line running across the head. Draw the mouth and nose area of the teddy bear. Create the tip of the nose with an upside-down triangle in the center of the mouth. Draw the guideline of the heart-shaped box that the teddy bear is holding with two curved lines that dip down and come to a point at the bottom.

  3. Step 3
     

    Draw a curved line around the bottom of the the arm to create the hands. Add a curved line around the end of each leg to create the foot. Add a small curved line in the inner corner of each ear to create the folds of the ears.

  4. Step 4
     

    Ink the teddy bear illustration with your black ink pen. Do not ink any of the teddy bear's guidelines. Let the ink dry and carefully erase the pencil lines.

  5. Step 5
     

    Color the teddy bear with art markers. Color the entire body of the bear light brown. Add dark brown to the ear folds, under the chin, under the arms and the pads of the feet. Color the heart red and use purple to create the shadows on the bottom right side of the heart.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use a compass to create the head of the teddy bear.
  • Place a sheet of paper under the illustration when you ink and color it so that the ink does not bleed through.
